This call was a detailed logistics and operations sync for GEC Pakistan 2026, focused on making sure pre-camp preparation, Karachi execution, northern travel, accommodation, food, transport, cash handling, and post-camp closeout are all tightly coordinated.
The team reviewed all physical camp items that need to be finalized before camp: carry bags, laundry bags, journals, name tags, certificates, shields, photo folders, and tasbeeh/bracelets.
A key theme was locking ownership quickly so nothing slips late, especially journals, name tags, certificates, and laundry bag decisions.
They discussed what needs to be ready before facilitators and staff arrive: stocked lounge snacks, stationery, printer access, storage access, and transport support.
They also flagged Aliya’s severe nut allergy, requiring strict avoidance of nuts even in packaged foods.
A large part of the call focused on AKU transport workflows, including arrivals, airport pickup, security coordination, protocol support, transport request formatting, bus/Hiace allocations, and departure-day airport choreography.
The team wants one clear ops channel and role clarity, because last year transport communication was fragmented and caused frustration.
They reviewed how Qayoom Sahab / AKU protocol supports arrivals inside the airport and how security/protocol vehicles are assigned to buses and service-site movements.
The team also needs passport/CNIC copy systems ready for checkpoints and airport handling.
For the north, the view was that logistics is lighter than Karachi, because much is handled by council, but ops still needs to manage seating lists, luggage routing, printed tags, snack prep, and participant briefing.
A crucial briefing point is that luggage from Skardu goes directly to Hunza, not Gilgit, so participants need to carry immediate-use items separately.
They reviewed AKU rooming, key handoff, room assignment structure, water dispenser usage, laundry process, res-life spaces, and hotel coordination for Serena properties in Hunza, Gilgit, and Islamabad.
The overall goal was to make accommodation feel organized and low-friction, while getting ahead of questions likely to come up on the July 5 webinar/call.
